Remembrance Day Services


NOTICE OF LOCATION CHANGE - Downtown Hamilton Remembrance Day commemorations will NOT be held this year at Gore Park due to park construction. Please join us for services at Liuna Station on November 9 and at City Hall November 11. Additional details in event listings below.



HAMILTON REMEMBRANCE DAY GARRISON PARADE AND SERVICEDATE: Sunday, November 9, 2014
PARADE: Begins at 10:15 am at the John Foote V.C. Armouries, 200 James St. N
SERVICE LOCATION: Liuna Station, 360 James Street North
TIME: Parade – 10:15 am, Service – 10:45 am
PARKING: Admission is free. Parking is free and can be accessed off of John Street North.
DETAILS: A parade of Hamilton and area Veterans, Hamilton Garrison Units and Cadet Corps will leave the John Foote V.C. Armouries on James Street North at 10:15am. The Parade will proceed north on James Street, east on  to Barton Street East, north on Hughson Street North, east on Murray Street to Liuna Station for a Memorial Service at 10:45am.

HAMILTON REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICEDATE: Tuesday, November 11, 2014
LOCATION: City Hall Forecourt, 71 Main Street West in downtown Hamilton
TIME: 10:45 am
ADMISSION: 
Admission is free. Paid parking is available at surface lots around City Hall as well as in the Hamilton Convention Centre garage, 1 Summers Lane)
DETAILS: 
Please join us for this special day of remembrance at City Hall where we will be honouring and remembering our veterans, and all who served Canada during war, armed conflict and peace.

Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) will offer free bus rides to veterans in uniform on November 9 and 11 for bus travel to and from all Remembrance Day services.
